Roundhouse Care Limited give children and young people safe and nurturing homes and work in close partnership with many individual local authorities as well as being listed on collective local authorities placing groups to promote and build working relationships with our partner agencies. We provide support to children in our small, family style, Ofsted registered homes or through the development of new services or innovative care solutions to improve outcomes for young people.
What we offer.
Roundhouse Care offers high quality therapeutic care to young people, who have experienced early trauma and abuse, which may have caused them to have attachment difficulties that impact on all areas of their development. We use principles of attachment theory to create the therapeutic environment within the homes and to address the feelings and behaviours of the young people in our care.
Children and young people in care have had lots of different experiences. Many have been rejected or experienced something traumatic. Others have moved home many times. As a therapeutic provision we offer specialist placements to young people with mental health issues, severe self-harming, eating disorders and inappropriate sexualised behaviours. Staff are trained and supported by a Clinical Psychologist to offer therapeutic re-parenting based on an attachment model and the work of Dan Hughes.
At Roundhouse we strive for the best outcomes for the young people that we support and also for those who are part of our teams. We aim to enrol all staff on the Diploma in Childcare within 6 months of their joining us. Therapeutic training and support is an on-going process, supported by our clinical psychologists. We are able to work alongside a specialist mental health team who can offer assessment, psychiatric overview, individual work with young people and support and guidance to the staff team. We invest in our teams and offer a comprehensive training program with tailor-made packages of training to suit the needs of the young people we are supporting. We have a strong heritage of developing managers and supporting them to lead their own teams or allowing individuals to progress in our integrated therapies team.
